Coach Jonas is the coach of the 8th grade team. He has 30 years of experience coaching basketball at a variety of levels. This is his 6th year coaching in the Diamond Elite program (formerly Lady Getshook).
From 2002-2006 he was the Head Girls Basketball coach at Champlin Park High School where he led the Rebels to the 2006 Northwest Suburban Conference and was named Region 6AAA coach of the year. In the same year the Rebels played in what at the time were two highest scoring girls games in state history.
Prior to taking over at Champlin Park Coach Jonas was an assistant coach in the Hopkins Boy’s program in 2001-2002 where he contributed to the Royal’s first state championship under coach Ken Novak Jr.
